The area which can be considered as the most high-risk in the house is none other than the bathroom. This can be very true if there is any member in your family whom has mobility challenge or in the old age. The bathroom with its slippery tile, hard ceramic surfaces and wet floors are common things that pose the risk of falling down. For younger and normal person, this might not be a major problem (although the risk of slipping and falling down is still there) but how about the people that have movement limitation? Teak is considered to be one of the finest woods in the world but that doesn’t mean that it won’t tear and wear out, only that it might take longer before it starts to deteriorate.

The wheeled type is suitable for person who can hardly stand and needed a lot of assistance getting in and out of the shower. Wheel shower chair is not only perfect for such case as it also provides the opportunity for them to be independent and thus, gaining back their self confidence.

There are some people who might not prefer having a shower bench or seat in their bathroom, this is particular true if the shower is not spacious. So instead of getting a normal shower seat, they might opt for a mounted shower seat. Mounted shower seat is more convenient in term of storing as the seat can be lifted up when not being used; this could save a lot of space for a small bathroom. Usually, the seat will be mounted at the corner of the bath or near the shower. To enhance the safety, it is also advisable that a shower grab bar is installed to assist the user to getting up and down the seat.

One thing about mounted handicap shower seat is it is more suitable for people who are not completely immobilized, in other words, they still can move around with the assistance of a walking stick. So for people who can’t stand up without the assistance from other, a wheel shower chair would be the best choice.
